LONDON

It has been a while! I last popped up a post right before I left for London. I wanted to try to write up a blog post whilst away, but was so busy I barely had a minute to relax! Thus, I decided I wanted to simply write up a post on my experience in London and then post a huge haul!

If you couldn't already tell, I've always been a bit obsessed with London. I honestly don't know where the obsession came from (but if I had to guess, I'd say the film "The Parent Trap" with LiLo had a lot to do with it), but from whenever I can remember, I've always wanted to travel there. I finally got the chance just this past week to stay in London for seven nights with my aunt and cousin and had the absolute time of my life.

For some reason, we ended up bringing amazing weather with us and it didn't rain a single moment in our whole trip. The sun was out and the birds were chirping and I think everyone in the whole city was outside enjoying every ounce of sun they could. The tube was always busy and the streets were constantly packed, but I couldn't have been more in my element.

I'm a city person, so this atmosphere was even better than I could have imagined. I love rushing to make the train and walking miles throughout the streets. I think I completely wore down a pair of flip flops from all the walking we did!

Besides London, I also took a day trip out to Stonehenge and Bath. Bath was honestly one of my favorite things we did as it was truly stunning. The town is picturesque and exactly how I imagined the countrysides of England. All of the little shops and pubs surrounding the center of the town was lovely to wander around and beautiful to photograph.

Besides that day trip, I absolutely loved going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Just out of London, it's absolutely amazing and something that completely made the whole trip. It was amazing to see the movie literally come to life and it's crazy as I never really thought much about all of the work that went into the different sets, but now I can't even imagine all of the work so many people put in.

I definitely let me inner Harry Potter freak come out and absolutely went crazy in the studios taking pictures of every inch of the place and reminiscing and just trying to soak up my time there!

Another favorite thing we did was definitely visiting Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral. Both churches were so stunning it was hard not to walk around with your mouth gaped open. It's hard to imagine just how these works of art were built so long ago and how amazing they've lasted and the sheer quality of the building and the intricate details. Kensington Palace was equally as amazing, with all of the beautiful architecture and hidden staircases and portraits.

One of my absolute highlights of the whole trip was probably when I happened to meet Fleur (yes, as in the FleurdeForce) in Primark. I had just decided that enough was enough and as I had already been in London for two whole days it was time to march into Primark and see what it was all about (hint: I fell in love). As I was wandering up to the checkout line, I saw Fleur in the jewelry section and without a second thought had to go up to her to say hi and tell her I loved her videos! It was so surreal to meet her in person and she is just so nice, it was lovely!

Unfortunately, as everything in life does, the trip came to a close. I was so sad to leave and I've decided that I need to live in London at one point or another in my life. On the first night I was there, I declared that I'd consider myself a failure if I didn't. I'll next have up a huge haul post as I definitely did quite a bit of shopping whilst I was there. Get excited for that!
