Twenty Fourteen

As much as I know I can't deny it any longer, it's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that it is now 2014. I honestly feel like it was just yesterday I was still in high school, worrying about where I'd be off to college and what I was going to do with my life. And now, all of that has come true and here I am!

While the year may not have started out the best for me, it certainly ended great. I have the best group of new friends from college and had so much fun my first semester. I've focused on some new things that I'm interested in like graphic design and web design, and left what wasn't making me all that happy behind. I'm excited to start this year off just as great and see where it takes me.

I've loved reading all of the resolutions posts lately, so I decided I wanted to talk about a few of mine as well.

1. Try to finally consistently blog. I always tend to blog a ton over the spring and summer, but definitely struggle over the fall and winter with school in the way. I love this little blog way too much to just give up on it, though, so I want to see it grow and document my life a bit more and even better than before. Another half resolution is to finish redesigning my blog. You can see I've done just a bit so far, but I want to get it exactly the way I want it!

2. Stay focused on my school work. I did well this semester, and I want to make sure I see that continue into next semester as well. It's easy to be distracted in college and not do any work, but I do think it's still important to do you best.

3. Apply for internships this summer and try to get one in the communications field, ideally some sort of PR internship with a focus on blogs and the web!

4. Keep eating healthy and try to work out more often. I walk several miles a day while at school to and from classes as my university is so big, but being home I realized that I barely ever work out as I simply count my walking as enough for the day. I just got over pneumonia and I need to start taking vitamins again as well and try to stay well, especially as winter is getting brutal!

5. Plan everything, stay organized, and save money. And leading off of that, I'm challenging myself to a 100 day spending ban. I need to stop spending money on things I don't need, a habit I'm horribly guilty of. I'm going to update once a month on the ban and I hope to see some other bloggers doing this as well for moral support!

I think that sums everything up! I hope you all had a great New Years and I'll see you in a few days with a new post.
